In our modern, fast-moving world, our home is becoming increasingly important as a place to withdraw to. While interiors have long since been a celebration of homeliness and design, too little attention is often paid to the furnishing of the outside area and thus to the connection between the living space indoors and the space outdoors. At Giardina 2018, Switzerland’s best garden designers demonstrated how to merge interior and exterior furnishing and how careful planning and subdivided zones can make garden dreams come true even when space is limited.
